Ben Adejumo integrates scholarship, counseling practice, and community engagement to confront complex human challenges with clarity and compassion.
As founder of Haven Consulting Services and Director of Student Affairs at Western Covenant University Los Angeles, he leads initiatives focused on student development, emotional well being, and leadership formation.
His work draws from extensive field engagement across African communities and diaspora contexts, addressing issues such as early marriage, educational access, trauma recovery, and youth empowerment. Ben’s approach combines psychological insight, faith centered values, and practical strategies that translate learning into measurable community impact.
His mission is to guide individuals and institutions toward informed decisions that strengthen families and protect future generations.

My Educational Journey
My academic path began far from where it now leads. A bachelor's degree in industrial chemistry from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria gave me an early discipline for evidence and precision. That foundation carried into an MBA from Stanton University and a Master of Arts from Western Covenant University in Los Angeles degrees that shifted my focus from chemistry to people, institutions, and the systems that shape both.
My Teaching Career
As a professor of leadership and business ethics, I don't teach theory in isolation I teach it as a living framework for how leaders should treat people, make decisions under pressure, and hold institutions accountable. My classroom has become, in many ways, an extension of my counseling work: a place where character is built alongside competence.
My Leadership Experience
As Director of Student Affairs, I oversee student services, counseling, and support programs work that puts me on the front line of what young people actually struggle with: identity, addiction, family strain, and a search for purpose. That vantage point shapes everything I now teach and write.
My Immigration Story
Like many who build a life far from where they started, my journey to the United States came with its own quiet costs distance from family, the work of building credibility from scratch, and the discipline required to stay rooted in faith and identity while adapting to a new culture. That experience is not a footnote to my work; it's part of why I understand the pressures immigrant families carry, and why immigration consultancy became a natural extension of my counseling practice.
Parenting Across Borders
Raising a family while living between countries and cultures tests a marriage and a parenting philosophy in ways proximity never does. I've learned firsthand what it takes to nurture connection across distance, maintain discipline and faith in a household split by geography, and keep a marriage faithful and intact under strain most people never see. This experience shaped Faithful Across Borders and continues to inform the family counseling I offer today.
Why Leadership and Ethics Matter
I've watched institutions fail not from a lack of talent, but from a lack of character at the top. Ethical leadership isn't a soft skill it's the structural difference between institutions that protect people and institutions that quietly harm them. Every workshop and consultation I offer is built on that conviction.
My Personal Philosophy
I believe transformation happens at the intersection of faith, evidence, and action. Faith gives people something to stand on when circumstances offer no good answers. Evidence research, data, honest counsel keeps that faith from becoming wishful thinking. And action is what turns belief into a different outcome for a family, a student, or a community.
My Long Term Vision
My long term vision is to build a body of work books, research, leadership programs, and the Africa Initiative that outlasts any single consultation or workshop. I want the six pillars of my framework to become a resource families, students, and institutions return to for years, not a message they hear once and forget.
